Should we be worried about App State?
« on: September 27, 2015, 10:46:31 PM »
It seems like they are our kryptonite. I remember we beat them when they were ranked #1, and they did the same to us when we were ranked #1. Our boys are looking good this year and seem to play better in the second half. Just hope they do not get in our heads.

btw, the newest projections have us in the GoDaddy Bowl. Excited!

It is cool about the bowl game. As what the OP was talking about, I do not think we have anything to worry bout. Saw how they played against Clemson and their offensive line fell apart.

Always worry about App. No matter what the rankings it is typically a game that is not decided until the fourth quarter. Blowouts are not typical.

yeah app always gets my blood pressure high. For somereason with app, it is never about the ranks as GSURNG said. It seems like it is a psychological game.

Definitely worried about the App game...why? Because it's App. There's a reason even in 2006 (our worst season of all time), we took a top ranked App to double OT. It's a game no matter what.

Playing in Boone is always tough too. On paper, I think we are the better team, but you can throw all that out the window.

We should ALWAYS be worried about app.  Especially in Boone.

Going to be a helluva game on Thursday night. It'll decide who wins the sun belt in my opinion.

To be honest, I think App will get a big play in for a TD, but after that I think we will beat them by at least 10 points.

Did not see the game going like that either. Just goes to show you the advantage of home field does for you. App did do a good job of containing the run, especially Breida. I bet App studies our tapes more than any other team.

Still kind of in disbelief, but then again it is App. Have to move on. Worry about the next game. GO EAGLES!

They have a losing record at Paulson we have a losing record there. Home field is a huge factor in this game. I have seen way better App teams lose and struggle at Paulson.

Our O line got exposed and our pass game was atrocious. We had two easy touchdown throws that went to waste. We gave up 14 points right after turnovers. We would have been better off not trying to go down field with passing at all nothing good came of it and they were not respecting it anyways. It is not like they made outstanding plays on those INT's they were horrible throws. We clean up the bad decisions by the QB's at it is at least a game going into the 4th.

Yeah it wasn't pretty. Just wish we could get out of that rut with App State.
